The purpose of this agreement is to outline the cost, delivery, and guarantee agreement concerning the purchase of an Adelina Great Dane Puppy. At Adelina Great Danes we make every effort to provide our customers with a healthy puppy.
Return Policy
We guarantee that all vaccinations and worming are up-to-date, there is a shot record and a Veterinarian certification is included with the puppy. When you receive the puppy you have forty-eight (48) hours to have the puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian. If the puppy should arrive on a weekend or holiday, you have an extra twenty-four (24) hours. If upon Veterinarian examination, the puppy is to be found to have a life threatening illness or congenital defect, the breeder must be contacted and legal proof from a licensed Veterinarian of the defect must be faxed to the breeder’s Vet. The puppy must be returned at the buyer’s expense and a replacement puppy will be given as soon as one is available (the shipment of the replacement puppy is at the buyer‘s expense). If the puppy has not visited a licensed Veterinarian within forty-eight (48) hours, the contract is null and void. There will be no cash or credit refunds. We offer replacement puppies only. A replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties and be on comparable bloodlines. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the exact parents of the original puppy. However, it is our desire to please, and we will work with our buyers, to ensure satisfaction. Our puppies are sold as PET QUALITY puppies. We do not guarantee your puppy to be able to sire or whelp puppies.
Have your pet checked regularly for heartworms. Use a good de-wormer that is recommended by your vet on a regular basis. Use a good flea protection program. Please Be aware that vaccinations sometimes fail for various reasons, and a dog does not develop full immunity to some diseases until they are a full year old and have had all their puppy shots, including a booster at the age of 1 year. If you are not willing or able to make sure that your puppy gets ALL of his scheduled vaccines and boosters, please do not purchase a puppy.
All vet charges incurred by the purchaser are the sole responsibility of the purchaser and will under no circumstances be paid by us!
Congenital Illnesses
This puppy is guaranteed for six (6) months against fatal and life altering congenital disease, which adversely affects the health of the animal. This includes, but is not limited to heart, pancreas and liver problems. If the dog dies within the six (6) month time frame, the buyer pays to have a necropsy done to decipher the problem. If the puppy is born with a fatal illness, Adelina Great Danes will replace the puppy.
Please understand the proper way to feed and care for a Great Dane before purchase. If you do not understand the needs of this breed, ask. We will not be responsible for any issues related to HOD or improper feeding of your dog. Dogs must be fed high quality dog food or the BARF diet.
Health Guarantee
At Adelina Great Danes we commit to a two (2) year genetic health guarantee. This guarantee does not cover certain issues that is common for a Great Dane. For example; torsion of the stomach (bloat), haw eyes, entropion, uneven bites, cherry eye, undescended testicles, demodex mange, inguinal or umbilical hernias, fleas, ticks or ear mite, Coccidian and Kennel Cough (common in puppies that are shipped; often caused by bacteria). Full recovery is expected from Kennel Cough. This guarantee applies to the original puppy only and is nontransferable to a second party.
Miscellaneous
In the event that the buyer cannot care for the puppy, it is required that the buyer return the puppy/dog to Adelina Great Danes. Adelina Great Danes is not required to refund any monies upon return of the puppy/dog. The buyer will transfer full ownership to Adelina Great Danes if the dog has been registered. In addition, ALL puppies purchased from Adelina Great Danes are not for re-sale. If anyone resales puppies or dogs, this will result in a $1000.00 fee plus court costs.
As of August 17th 2011 all puppies given names will appear on the AKC registration papers.
This guarantee applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable to a second party.
Only one replacement is given. All replacements are final. Replacement puppies are not transferable to any other party.
No replacement/refund is honored after 24 months.
***If the buyer breaches this contract then the buyer is said to be in default. If the buyer defaults on this contract, then the buyer agrees to return the puppy/dog to Adelina Great Danes without any reimbursement.
We know that you and your new puppy will spend many years together, as you join our many happy and satisfied buyers.
